Rail
Rail travel throughout Georgia is carried out by Georgian Railway, and is not a bad option for getting around, although it is a bit limited. The regions of Kakheti and Racha-Lechkhumi and Zemo Svaneti do not have any rail access, while the regions of Mtshkheta-Mtianeti--with the exception of Mtskheta--and Samtshkhe-Javakheti--with the exception of Borjomi and Bakuriani--are also left out. International routes are limited to Baku, Azerbaijan, and Yerevan, Armenia.
Tickets can be purchased online or at the station. In Tbilisi, Central Station at Station Square is considered to be the main train station (and is denoted as Tbilisi-pass. on the Georgian Railway website).
Use the search bar to search for any stop, use the dropdown menu to choose a specific start/final stop, or scroll below to see a list of routes operated by Georgian Railway. Click the route name to see a detailed map of the route.
Not all routes are identical to their reverse route (i.e. Tbilisi to Zugdidi has different stops than Zugdidi to Tbilisi). Due to this, every route and its reverse are listed.
"Tbilisi" = Tbilisi-pass. = Station Square/Tbilisi Central
"Kutaisi" = Kutaisi-I
Route information was found on the Georgian Railway website, though be warned it can be difficult to navigate.
